Terms of Service
These terms govern every order placed through deskmat.co. Placing an order means you accept them, so it is worth the five minutes. They are written in plain language on purpose.
1. Who we are
Desk Mat Co. is a trading name of Desk Mat Co. SARL, registered in Casablanca, Morocco. Correspondence address and registration number are listed at the foot of every invoice. Where these terms say “we” or “us”, they mean that company.
2. Orders and acceptance
An order is an offer to buy. It becomes a contract when we send the dispatch confirmation, not when payment is taken. If a product is unavailable or a price is listed in error, we may decline the order and refund you in full within three working days.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and include Moroccan VAT where applicable. Import duties outside Morocco are payable by you; the checkout shows an estimate before payment. We accept card and PayPal, and we never store card details on our own systems.
4. Custom artwork
You keep all rights in artwork you upload. By uploading it you confirm you hold those rights, and you grant us a limited licence to reproduce the file solely to manufacture your order and to show a proof back to you. We refuse files that infringe third-party rights or that we consider hateful. We keep custom files for 90 days after dispatch so re-orders are possible, then delete them.
5. Delivery and risk
Transit estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk passes to you on delivery, so anything damaged in transit is our problem, not yours — tell us within 14 days and we re-make it. Full detail is on the shipping page.
6. Cancellation and returns
Catalogue mats may be returned within 30 days, used or unused. Personalised mats and bespoke sizes are made to your specification and are excluded from that right, which is why we send a proof for approval first. See the returns page.
7. Warranty and liability
We warrant the stitching, print and rubber base against manufacturing defects for two years from delivery. Normal wear, sun fading, cuts and pet damage are not defects. Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it; nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by Moroccan law, and the courts of Casablanca have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, this does not remove any protection you have under your local law.
