Care Instructions
Four minutes of maintenance a month is the difference between three years and ten.
Daily
Wipe spills at once
The coating beads liquid for a couple of minutes. A dry cloth, no pressure, and nothing reaches the print.
Weekly
Lint roller, not a vacuum
Crumbs and hair lift straight off the weave. A vacuum head drags at the stitch and is not worth the risk.
Monthly
Cool hand wash
Lukewarm water, a drop of pH-neutral soap, a soft sponge in the direction of the weave. Rinse and press with a towel.
Yearly
Machine wash at 30°
Gentle cycle, mild detergent, no fabric softener. Air dry flat, rubber side up, away from a radiator.
Do
✓Dry it completely flat before it goes back on the desk
✓Roll it print-side out when you travel with it
✓Lift the keyboard rather than dragging it across the print
✓Keep it out of long, direct afternoon sun
Don’t
✗Tumble dry, iron or steam — heat kills the rubber
✗Use bleach, solvent, alcohol wipes or fabric softener
✗Scrub against the weave with an abrasive pad
✗Store it folded — a crease in the base is permanent
